The court in Moscow has refused to re-register the Jehovah's Witnesses
Moscow. After the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), which stated that the decision of the Moscow District Court Gołowińskiego a prohibition against the Jehovah's Witnesses is illegal, by the Court Witnesses Gołowińskiego request to reconsider the decision of 26 March 2004. 11 January 2011, the Jehovah's Witnesses in Moscow also turned to appeal to the Moscow Department of Justice asking for re-registration of their community, which was abolished in 2004. Additional claims have been made both in and Presnieńskim Butyrki District Court in Moscow with a request to review the judgments, which are being denied their religious community to re-register.
European Court of Human Rights ruled that in the course of judicial proceedings has repeatedly committed serious violations and ordered Russia to take action "to stop the violations found by the court and redress its effects, as far as it's just possible.
