Gorno-Altaysk, Russia. April 14, 2011, the local court delivers a verdict in a criminal case Kalistratowowi against Alexander, Jehovah's Witness accused of inciting religious hatred and enmity on the basis of Article 282 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

Despite the lack of evidence in the case, the prosecutor demanded 160 hours of community service. Victor Zenkow, another defender says: "Each sentence will mean not only the duty social work for the accused, but also sew a patch of criminals of all Jehovah's Witnesses."


Judgement will be announced April 14 at 9 o'clock in the morning. Jehovah's Witnesses in Russia in the number of 162 000 as well as their co-religionists throughout the world, waited for the verdict announcement in one of the largest cases in Russia.
